About The Position

The Lead Massage Therapist is responsible for the leadership and mentoring of the Massage Therapy team and assisting the Management in facility needs. This role includes the same responsibilities as a Massage Therapist, leading by example. The Lead MT will be responsible for onboarding new team members, maintaining brand standards through service flow and protocol, coaching Massage Therapists, and assisting with scheduling, goal setting, guest experience, and recovery. Flexibility and adaptability will be necessary as ad hoc and additional responsibilities will arise.

Requirements

  • Experience as a lead and/or trainer Massage Therapist
  • Strong communication and coaching skills
  • License/certification required in state of practice. Must present a license/certificate during the interview process and maintain it throughout employment if hired.
  • Knowledge of Swedish and Deep Tissue Massage and other modalities.
  • Excellent guest service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all essential Massage Therapist duties and maintain excellent attendance.
  • Represent The NOW with inspiring professionalism and a commitment to an inclusive workplace.
  • Assist management with boutique operations and serve as a liaison between Massage Therapists and the Leadership Team.
  • Manage time-off requests, provide shift coverage, forecast hiring needs, and participate in candidate interviews.
  • Conduct quarterly inventories of linen and equipment to ensure operational readiness and plan replacements.
  • Provide orientations, lead service training for new Massage Therapists, and coordinate team meetings.
  • Collaborate with the Leadership Team by sharing feedback and suggestions for ongoing improvements.
