About The Position

As a Lead Massage Therapist at Westgate Resorts, you will support the leadership standard in the spa, provide outstanding customer service, and function in a supervisory role. You will assist with technician training and scheduling, act as a support for the front desk, and aid the spa director with various projects. Your responsibilities will include maintaining quality control with service protocols, assisting with product cost containment, and helping with inventory ordering. You will enhance and support the service philosophy of Serenity Spa by maintaining a positive, leadership attitude and demonstrating Westgate’s core values of Passion, Integrity, and Work Ethic. You will embrace and support the Principles of Service of the Westgate Resort, set excellent customer service and professional work examples, and use and emphasize spa vocabulary, professional standards, and attention to quality, consistency, and detail. You will maintain confidentiality in all personnel matters, foster a positive work environment, and ensure compliance with health and sanitation laws. You will oversee the training and development of the technical team, ensuring thorough product knowledge, quality control skills, acceptable time management, proper aesthetic standards, sanitation and safety, and exceptional customer service. Staying abreast of emerging products, treatments, and trends in the Spa industry is also key. You will be flexible with your schedule to accommodate emergencies, oversee the scheduling of guest appointments and massage therapist schedules, and balance massage therapist schedules before each shift. You will meet one-on-one with massage therapists to discuss goals and concerns, assist guests with complaints professionally and courteously, and track inventory and place orders in a timely manner. You will also learn ordering, payroll, and other managerial duties and act as Manager on Duty when the manager is unavailable.

Requirements

1-year experience in spa environment
Massage Therapist license as required by the Department of Professional Licensing.
Retail/business understanding, including time management, self-motivation, conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities are required.
Must have strong organizational skills and basic computer skills.
Must have professional appearance and demeanor.
Must show commitment to quality customer service.
Full-time, flexible schedule is necessary with workdays determined by business needs.
Willingness to commit to 10 hours per week performing lead duties.
Excellent attendance is required.
Must be a team player, be detail-oriented and can multi-task.
Ability to communicate in a high-stress situation.

Oversee training and developing of technical team, ensuring thorough product knowledge, quality control skills, acceptable time management, proper aesthetic standards, sanitation and safety, and exceptional customer service.
Stay abreast of emerging products, treatments, and trends in the Spa industry.
Be flexible with schedule to accommodate emergencies that may arise.
Oversee the scheduling of guest appointments and massage therapist schedules as needed, including shift coverage for vacations and day of emergency coverage.
Balance the massage therapist’s schedules before pre-shift of each shift.
Meet one on one with massage therapists to discuss goals, concerns and to touch base.
Assist guests with any complaints professionally and courteously, ensuring complete guest satisfaction as needed.
Track Inventory and place orders in a timely manner to keep department in stock of all products needed.
Learn ordering, payroll and other managerial duties necessary if manager is unavailable.
Act as Manager on Duty when manager is not in the spa.
