About The Position
As a Lead Manufacturing Technician here at Honeywell, you will lead a team, provide technical expertise, and ensure smooth engineering processes. You will report directly to our Manufacturing Manager, and you’ll work out of our Minneapolis, MN location on an On-Site work schedule. This role will support 3rd Shift: Sunday- Thursday 10:00 pm- 6:00 am.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on process improvement.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety regulations.
- Experience with manufacturing equipment and tools, including troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and methodologies.
- Ability to lead a team effectively and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with manufacturing equipment and tools, including troubleshooting and maintenance.
Nice To Haves
- Optical glass machining polish experience
- Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
- Mechanical measurement aptitude (GD&T), ability to read engineering drawings
- Substrate glass optical contact/polish experience
- 3 years of experience in a manufacturing role or a support technician role
- Associate's Degree in Manufacturing Technology
Responsibilities
- Collaborate and assist a team of manufacturing technicians and operators, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance.
- Oversee daily manufacturing performance, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Implement process improvements and troubleshooting techniques to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
- Assure all equipment and tooling are working as expected to assure performance.
- Help establish TPM and process monitoring to validate process compliance.
- Audit SOS adherence within the cell to assure operator and processing equipment compliance.
- Assist in rapid problem solving to find the source of process/product variation and escapes from the cell.
- Strong utilization and development of standard work to assure consistent product and process flow throughout the cell.
