About The Position

As a Lead Manufacturing Technician here at Honeywell, you will lead a team, provide technical expertise, and ensure smooth engineering processes. You will report directly to our Manufacturing Manager, and you’ll work out of our Minneapolis, MN location on an On-Site work schedule.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on process improvement.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety regulations.
  • Experience with manufacturing equipment and tools, including troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and methodologies.
  • Ability to lead a team effectively and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with manufacturing equipment and tools, including troubleshooting and maintenance.

Nice To Haves

  • Optical glass machining polish experience
  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
  • Mechanical measurement aptitude (GD&T), ability to read engineering drawings
  • Substrate glass optical contact/polish experience
  • 3 years of experience in a manufacturing role or a support technician role
  • Associate's Degree in Manufacturing Technology

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate and assist a team of manufacturing technicians and operators, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance.
  • Oversee daily manufacturing performance, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Implement process improvements and troubleshooting techniques to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
  • Assure all equipment and tooling are working as expected to assure performance.
  • Help establish TPM and process monitoring to validate process compliance.
  • Audit SOS adherence within the cell to assure operator and processing equipment compliance.
  • Assist in rapid problem solving to find the source of process/product variation and escapes from the cell.
  • Strong utilization and development of standard work to assure consistent product and process flow throughout the cell.
