About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated Lead Manufacturing Specialist to oversee daily plant operations in Gaspé. You will be responsible for planning and executing production activities, ensuring reliability, consistency, and adherence to safety and quality standards. This role involves direct oversight of front-line manufacturing employees and requires a leader capable of driving continuous improvement in a high-paced industrial environment.

Requirements

Advanced experience in Manufacturing and Production Supervision.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field (or High School Diploma/GED with significant, relevant manufacturing leadership experience).
Proven track record in implementing Lean manufacturing methodologies and maintaining high quality and safety standards.
Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to document, plan, and execute production programs.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a heavy industrial or high-volume manufacturing sector is highly preferred.
Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to resolve complex production problems.
Technical proficiency in interpreting production documentation (e.g., work instructions, BOMs, technical drawings).
Proven ability to manage performance metrics (KPIs, productivity, defect reduction).

Responsibilities

Oversight and management of front-line hourly employees.
Manage daily execution of the production plan, ensuring schedule adherence and team efficiency.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Kaizen, 5S) to improve productivity metrics and reduce defect rates.
Provide leadership in production disciplines.
Use expertise to solve operational challenges and ensure compliance with site safety and quality policies.
Ensure team activities integrate seamlessly with other departments (Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain) to achieve business goals.
Act as a leader who can train, mentor, and develop talent within the manufacturing team.
