About The Position

We seek a Lead Manufacturing Engineer based out of our location at 1624 Meijer Drive, Troy, MI 48084. Note, this position requires up to 5% domestic travel. Responsibilities include: coordinating our manufacturing team and engineering activities at the plant and work to develop test strategies and improvement activities for current and future products; working with cross functional teams to lead new assembly and/or functional test process for remanufacturing / re-processing fuel system products or components of commercial vehicles; developing test methodologies for competitor components / products; developing and maintaining the engineering documentation for all the responsible areas; working with 3rd party suppliers to develop new assembly & test equipment for reprocessing of fuel system products / components; guiding manufacturing engineers on respective projects and troubleshooting existing production equipment; conducting statistical data analysis and reporting; and conducting RFQ and Capex management for new assembly and test projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or related
  • 36 months of experience in job offered or related
  • Experience with developing High pressure hydraulics and Pneumatic systems
  • Experience with light duty, medium duty, heavy duty fuel system components manufacturing and/or remanufacturing
  • Experience with commissioning leak test systems (Decay, Tracer gas, and Mass flow)
  • Experience with Data Acquisition Systems, industrial control systems
  • Industrial Vision systems (Keyence and Cognex) and assembly line design
  • Experience with CAN communication and testing CAN Devices
  • Experience with tooling and nesting mechanical design for assembly and test stations using CAD software

Responsibilities
