About The Position

Unison, a GE Aerospace company, is the leading provider of differentiated engine controls, accessories, and performance monitoring solutions in the Aerospace, Defense & Space segments. Serving both original equipment manufacturers and aftermarket customers, Unison designs, manufactures and supplies the most advanced components and systems in the world. Provide manufacturing engineering support for Space Ignition Systems, with safety as the first priority in all activities and deliverables. This role impacts departmental operations and is responsible for planning and executing continuous improvement initiatives, setting clear expectations, and driving accountability through measurable results. The role also supports execution of material discrepancy reports, cost-out projects, and process improvements within Space Ignition Systems, operating within standard functional practices and procedures while exercising appropriate independence in day-to-day execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years’ experience in Engineering or Manufacturing) plus a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Engineering or Manufacturing.
  • This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology.
  • Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a drug and background screen.

Responsibilities

  • Takes ownership of safety within the assigned work area and prioritizes identification and closure of unsafe conditions and behaviors.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline.
  • Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy.
  • Develops in-depth understanding of key business drivers and how the team integrates with other teams and contributes to the business, using this understanding to accomplish goals.
  • Applies independent judgement and develops proposals, escalating when necessary to drive results.
  • Use technical expertise and structured problem solving to resolve issues and improve processes.

  • As new products and processes are developed, this role will include responsibilities in production and development.
