About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Lead Manufacturing Engineer located onsite at our Fibrebond manufacturing campus in Minden, LA. Relocation assistance is available to candidates currently residing in the US. The Lead Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for process improvements for all manufacturing processes, with a focus on material efficiency, ergonomics, and product quality. You will work with production teams to identify specific improvement projects, and analyzes impact on material/labor cost, product quality, and employee safety. You will provide technical support for improvement projects from the initial research stage to implementation in production; this would include prototype building, possible construction, employee training and testing the new process. Fibrebond, an Eaton company, designs and manufactures pre integrated modular buildings and power enclosures that protect mission critical equipment for data center, industrial, utility, and communications customers. Headquartered in Minden, Louisiana, Fibrebond is known for its engineered to order solutions that support complex infrastructure projects across North America. In 2025, Fibrebond was acquired by Eaton, expanding Eaton’s modular solutions portfolio while preserving Fibrebond’s strong engineering expertise, customer focus, and manufacturing operations in Louisiana.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Three (3) years of relevant engineering experience, working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial, manufacturing, or mechanical engineering from an accredited institution.
  • One year of experience creating Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and control plans.
  • One year of experience with Lean | Six Sigma projects and implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Drive facility capability and capacity improvement through Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and other processes to support efficiency improvement and sales growth.
  • Support and execute capital plans to support capability, capacity, and efficiency to develop new key plant processes in support of sales growth and product line expansion.
  • Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs, reviewing production schedules and requirements, estimating future requirements.
  • Work directly with direct production to troubleshoot and improve processes, including fabrication, assembly, measuring, and testing of products manufactured.
  • Manage activities and budgets for manufacturing and process improvement projects, including the development of the project management requirements and all implementation documentation.
  • Develop and implement cost reduction initiatives utilizing continuous improvement framework.
  • Collect and analyze manufacturing data and metrics to aid in design and improvement of processes.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health, and Safety responsibilities by following established EHS policies, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
  • Proactively implement, promote, and maintain a safe working environment, through diligence in accident prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance, corrective action implementation.
  • Manage the creation of standard work and standard cycle times.
