About The Position

As a member of the Process Industrialization team, you will be an active contributor to create, maintain, and execute the standard in how to develop and industrialize manufacturing processes using a team-based approach. This role sits within the Process Industrialization team and will lead automation specification, builds, programming, and work closely with process development to build machines around a process. The role will work closely with the maintenance team to develop long term professional maintenance procedures. The role will also be key in integrating part movement solutions into, out of, and between new and existing equipment. And support building quality into the process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) from an accredited university or college OR a High School diploma / GED with at least 4 years experience in a manufacturing or heavy equipment environment
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in Production Process and Equipment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship now or in the future
  • This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of technical disciplines, analytical thinking, and technical experience to execute policy/strategy and roadmap initiatives
  • Execute hand offs for new product introductions, part and technology transfers, new process introductions, and strategic plant and equipment investments; inclusive of lead time, technology selection, tooling, fixturing, programming, quality plan, and run-off of initial production sets
  • Execute hands-on development of new products and processes enabling a successful hand-off to the production team
  • Manage project timelines to meet customer needs with a strong focus on safety, process quality, qualifications, and Lean
  • Support downstream industrialization activities
  • Drive new equipment calibration procedures
  • Write, execute, and validate standard equipment specifications for the site
  • Strong ability to identify and eliminate waste while coaching others
  • Engineering, standardizing, and optimizing manufacturing processes
  • Participate in productivity efforts supporting cost competitiveness
  • Incorporate lean manufacturing principles into process development
  • Utilize kaizen activities for continuous improvement and collaborate with wider team on breakthrough initiatives
