About The Position

We are hiring for a Nightshift Manufacturing Lead on the Westside of Jacksonville. This is a temporary to full-time position. The role involves achieving daily production goals for a work area during a 12-hour shift, following a 2-3-2 rotating schedule. The Lead will oversee 8-10 employees daily, including technicians and operators, and will be responsible for reporting daily area output and performance. They will also implement corrective actions for key bottlenecks related to human performance under the direction of the line lead.

Requirements

High School Equivalent required.
Strong safety mindset.
Able to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout a 12-hr. shift.
Able to load materials weighing up to 50lbs and perform work requiring either high levels of strength and endurance or strong visual acuity and manual dexterity depending on assigned work area.
1-3 years of experience as a team lead or manager.
1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with MS office Suite.
Willing to submit to a drug test and background check.

Nice To Haves

High volume automated assembly line setting strongly preferred!
Strong Excel skills preferred!

Responsibilities

Prioritize the safety of all team members and ensure that manufacturing processes comply with safety regulations.
Monitor line production performance to minimize cost, material waste, downtime, and human error.
Complete hourly work area reports detailing output, yield, downtime, and pass down status.
Report all personnel-related issues, attendance, performance management, disciplinary action, etc. to the line lead for resolution.
Manage new hire training and performance coaching for all operators and techs within assigned work area.
Provide break coverage for all stations within assigned work area as needed.
Complete daily inspection/checklist completion within assigned area to ensure ISO audit compliance.
Perform daily QA testing for all stations within assigned work area as needed.
Ensure all tools and materials within your work area are readily available and in good condition.
Ensure work area readiness for internal and external audits.
Achieve daily production goals for a work area for a 12-hour shift following a 2-3-2 rotating schedule.
Lead 8-10 employees daily including techs, and operators.
Report daily area output and performance.
Implement corrective action for key bottlenecks related to human performance under the direction of the line lead.
