About The Position

Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is recruiting for a Lead Mammography Technologist. This role functions in a lead capacity, providing instruction and direction to Mammography Technologists and Special Procedures Radiologic Technologist Trainees. The Lead Mammography Technologist will prepare and perform mammographic specialized procedures for the diagnosis of breast conditions. The official title for this position is Senior Special Procedures Radiologic Technologist. ARMC is a state-of-the-art, public/nonprofit, 456-bed, university-affiliated teaching hospital located in Colton, California. It houses a regional burn center, a comprehensive stroke center, a level I trauma center, and a freestanding in-patient behavioral health center. Additionally, ARMC operates five community-based, primary care clinics and over 40 specialty care outpatient services. ARMC is the primary teaching hospital for the California University of Science and Medicine (CUSM).

Requirements

  • Certified by the State of California, Department of Public Health as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • CRT/Fluoroscopy issued by the State of California, Department of Public Health (must obtain within the first six (6) months of hire or be terminated).
  • Healthcare Provider Level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Mammography (M) OR Certificate by the State of California, Department of Public Health as a Mammographic Radiologic Technologist.
  • Three (3) years of recent experience within the past five (5) years as a Special Procedures Radiologic Technologist/ Mammography Technologist Technologist.
  • Includes (1) one year in an acute care setting.
  • Includes (2) two years in a hospital or ambulatory setting.

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year of experience as a lead technologist or supervising technologist is highly desirable.
