About The Position

The Lead Mammography Technologist is responsible for leading and supporting daily Mammography operations. This role involves guiding workflow, staff, and patient care activities, serving as a team resource by promoting collaboration, strong communication, and excellent patient experiences. The Lead will also assist leadership with staff coaching, annual evaluations, and departmental support in the absence of leadership. Key duties include performing advanced mammography imaging procedures to support accurate diagnoses and high-quality patient care, ensuring compliance with safety standards, quality initiatives, and regulatory guidelines, and providing compassionate care while assisting with sensitive patient and family situations. The role requires close collaboration with Radiologists and the Imaging team to deliver efficient, high-quality imaging services for patients of all ages.

Requirements

Licensure and/or fluoroscopy permit as required by State.
Current ARRT certification.
Advanced certification in the field of Mammography.
Current experience as a radiology technologist.
Strong verbal, written, and communication skills.
Current BCLS (AHA) certification.
Comprehensive Knowledge of Federal, State and Local regulatory standards.
Ability to travel to all imaging facilities both regularly and without notice.
Experience in Hospital Information Services (HIS)/Radiology Information System (RIS).
