About The Position

The Lead Maintenance Technician is accountable for results within the Mechanical Utilities Department (MUC) in Environment, Health and Safety, Productivity, Asset Management, People Development, Contracting Out, Cost Control and Quality using ABS (Arconic Business System) tools such as TPM, Kaizen, Daily Management, 5S, etc. These objectives will be achieved without sacrificing a spirit of cooperation with other areas, so as to not detrimentally impact the vitality of Davenport Works.

Requirements

• Experience in a leadership role within a maintenance or facilities department.
• Familiarity with ABS (Arconic Business System) tools including TPM, Kaizen, Daily Management, and 5S.
• Ability to supervise and develop a team of supervisors and hourly craft employees.
• Understanding of Environment, Health and Safety principles.
• Knowledge of Productivity, Asset Management, Contracting Out, Cost Control, and Quality management.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with general mechanics, electricians, carpenter painters, and facilities maintenance operators.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision to up to four supervisors and indirect supervision to 100+ hourly craft employees.
• Manage results within the Mechanical Utilities Department (MUC) in Environment, Health and Safety, Productivity, Asset Management, People Development, Contracting Out, Cost Control and Quality.
• Utilize ABS (Arconic Business System) tools such as TPM, Kaizen, Daily Management, 5S, etc.
