About The Position

Hands-on, experienced, and ready to lead? Prime Group is looking for a Lead Maintenance Technician to help keep our multifamily community running smoothly, safely, and looking its best. The Lead Maintenance Technician is responsible for handling day-to-day essential repairs and upkeep of the residential community, ensuring a clean and comfortable living environment for residents. This role involves performing a wide variety of tasks, including plumbing, electrical work, HVAC maintenance, carpentry, and general repairs. Additionally, the Lead Maintenance Technician assists the Maintenance Supervisor in overseeing the maintenance team and ensures that all work is completed to the highest standards of service.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent
At least 1 year of experience in maintenance
At least 1 year of Yardi experience
At least 1 year of managerial experience
HVAC & EPA certification is required
Must be available to perform on-call emergency services when needed
Must be proficient with personal computers
Must be able to lift 25-50 lbs.
Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems with sound safety practices
Valid driver's license and dependable transportation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be legally eligible for employment in the U.S.
Pre-employment drug screening and background check required

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as plumbing, electrical repairs, painting, and carpentry
Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, appliances, and other mechanical equipment
Address and resolve maintenance requests from residents in a timely and professional manner
Conduct regular inspections of the property and equipment to identify and address potential issues early
Implement preventative maintenance schedules for HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and other critical infrastructure
Ensure all work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and company policies
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper storage of tools and materials
Maintain common areas, including hallways, lobbies, fitness centers, and outdoor spaces
Perform landscaping tasks, such as mowing, trimming, and trash removal, as needed
Be available for on-call emergency maintenance services outside of regular working hours
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests to minimize inconvenience to residents
Interact professionally with residents, addressing maintenance concerns and providing excellent service
Communicate effectively with property management and team members to coordinate maintenance activities
