About The Position

Palo Verde Behavioral Health is seeking an experienced Lead Maintenance Tech to join their team. This position is responsible for ensuring the facility is in an excellent and safe condition at all times. The Lead Maintenance Tech will train staff and ensure the smooth running of upkeep and repair operations. This role requires reliability, attention to detail, and knowledge of various crafts (carpentry, plumbing) and technical skills. The Lead Maintenance Tech will also assist in scheduling for the department. Palo Verde Behavioral Health Hospital provides comprehensive behavioral healthcare for children, adolescents, adults, and senior adults suffering from mental health and addictive illnesses, offering various treatment programs. Situated in Tucson, AZ, PVBH has an excellent reputation and is located near natural attractions and the University of Arizona.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience required.
Must be available for nights and weekends for occasional On-Call.
Must have knowledge of Basic HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Drywall, and Painting.
Must be tested for Tuberculosis with a PPD skin test or chest x-ray upon hire; PPD skin test required annually or chest x-ray every 4 years thereafter.
Must obtain and maintain a Class 1 Arizona Fingerprint Clearance.

Nice To Haves

A knowledge of various crafts (carpentry, plumbing) and technical skills are essential.
Detail oriented.

Responsibilities

Responsible for inspecting buildings and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
Ensures all maintenance work complies with health and safety regulations.
Monitors, tests, inspects and performs other assigned tasks in support of utility management.
Assists in preparing weekly maintenance schedules.
Oversees and trains maintenance Staff.
Coordinates repairs, overseeing tradesmen for installations, repairs and maintenance.
