About The Position

Keep our facilities running, our people safe, and our operations seamless. We’re looking for a skilled Lead Journey Maintenance/Construction Specialist who will assist in driving operational excellence across state facilities. As a Lead Maintenance/Construction Specialist, you’ll serve as a key technical resource and mentor—utilizing your comprehensive skills in building controls, maintenance and construction, welding, and trade systems to keep our operations safe and seamless.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in commercial building maintenance, construction, facilities management, or a recognized building trade; or Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program in a building trade and four (4) years of journey-level experience; or An equivalent combination of education and directly related experience.
• Currently have a valid Utah Driver's License

Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead worker for maintenance and construction activities within assigned state facilities.
• Perform advanced journey-level work in multiple building trades.
• Coordinate maintenance and small construction projects.
• Assign and monitor daily work activities.
• Mentor and train staff.
• Ensure facilities are maintained in a safe, efficient, and professional manner.
• Serve as a technical resource for facility managers, maintenance staff, contractors, and state agencies.
• Promote quality workmanship, safety, and excellent customer service.
