About The Position

The Lead Maintenance Planner is responsible for providing back-up support for the Maintenance Superintendent. This role involves planning work orders and coordinating activities for the Maintenance Department, including PMs, Work Orders, and Project Work, using CMMS software (Limble). The planner will lead weekly work order scheduling meetings for production and maintenance departments, and is responsible for maintaining and improving Adhesives Research facilities, support systems, lab, and production equipment. Additionally, this position supports change controls and capital projects in conjunction with Quality, Operations, Process Engineering, and Project Engineering, and contributes to process optimization and continuous improvement through equipment reliability, PMs, work order closures, and safety improvements.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school diploma.
  • Experience in maintenance planning/scheduling and coordinating workflows.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in manufacturing maintenance.
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical ability.
  • Computer literacy with good working knowledge in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Self-motivated and self-disciplined with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
  • Conform to Company policies and procedures, Quality Systems, cGMPs, ISO, OSHA, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations (e.g. ISO, FDA, OSHA, EPA, DEP, etc.) and company procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional technical education and or cross training in mechanical and electrical controls.
  • Experience / knowledge of Lean Manufacturing practices and principles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide back-up support for the Maintenance Superintendent.
  • Plan work orders and coordinate activities for the Maintenance Department: PM’s, Work Orders, Project Work, etc. using CMMS software (Limble).
  • Run weekly work order scheduling meetings for production and maintenance departments.
  • Maintain and improve Adhesives Research facilities, support systems, lab and production equipment.
  • Support change controls and capital projects in conjunction with Quality, Operations, Process Engineering, and Project Engineering.
  • Support process optimization and continuous improvement opportunities through equipment reliability, PMs, work order closures, and safety improvements.
  • Initiate NCRs and perform root cause investigations for equipment related issues.
  • Support the Maintenance Specialist with procurement and management of inventory/parts.
  • Write change deviations as required for past due PM’s.
  • Support area managers/process owners and supervisors with key metrics, identifies and implements continuous improvement actions; makes identifiable and substantial contributions to improving equipment reliability, PMs, and facility cleanliness.
  • Interface with external equipment vendors, engineering companies, contractors, and customers.
  • Collaborate and contribute to the development of new products, processes, and equipment, as needed.
  • Coordinate engineering capital projects as well as contractor work projects.
  • Work with Maintenance Department Manager and Superintendent to identify training needs for mechanics.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations (e.g. ISO, FDA, OSHA, EPA, DEP, etc.) and company procedures.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
