About The Position

The Lead Maintenance Electrician is responsible for leading and executing electrical and mechanical maintenance activities, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of plant systems. The Lead Maintenance Electrician is both a skilled tradesperson and a team leader. The working hours will be Monday – Friday 6:00AM to 2:30PM.

Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of electrical systems including controls and automation
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and technical skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Computer skills such as Microsoft office, CMMS, and SAP
  • Industrial electrical systems (480V/3-phase and higher)
  • SCADA/HMI systems
  • 10+ years in E&I, automation, or controls

Nice To Haves

  • Background in RNG, oil & gas, or waste treatment facilities preferred
  • Degree or technical certification in Electrical, Instrumentation, Automation preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assign, prioritize, and monitor maintenance activities
  • Use and maintain CMMS for the site
  • Train and mentor maintenance personnel on electrical systems, troubleshooting, and safety procedures
  • Ensure all work complies with company, project, and regulatory safety requirements, participate in safety audits and inspections
  • Arrange and ensure availability of materials and equipment for maintenance repair tasks
  • Order parts and maintain the list of critical spares for the site
  • Interface with operations to ensure reliability and uptime
  • Support development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintenance documentation
  • Lead troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance across the facility
  • Diagnose electrical faults using meters, schematics, and SCADA systems
  • Support and maintain PLC/HMI/SCADA systems used in anaerobic digestion, gas upgrading, and wastewater treatment operations
  • Calibrate and troubleshoot field instrumentation including flow meters, level transmitters, pressure transmitters, gas analyzers, and pH/ORP/DO/conductivity probes
  • Maintain electrical and controls infrastructure supporting DAF systems, aeration systems, clarifiers, dewatering equipment, polymer systems, lift stations, and process pumps
  • Enforce compliance with NFPA 70/70E, NEC, OSHA regulations, and arc flash and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures
  • Review electrical drawings, P&IDs;, and one-line diagrams for accuracy and field implementation
