About The Position

RIGHTECH is a leading nationwide provider of technical staffing services, and we are currently seeking qualified candidates for a Lead Low Voltage Technician in Frederick, MD starting ASAP. We are seeking an experienced Lead Low Voltage Technician to lead a small crew while performing hands-on structured cabling work. The primary focus will be pulling, terminating, testing, and labeling CAT6 cable while ensuring the crew maintains quality, productivity, and safety standards.

Requirements

• Previous low voltage/structured cabling experience required.
• Strong hands-on experience pulling, terminating, and testing CAT6 cable.
• Ability to read cable plans, drawings, and project documentation.
• Strong troubleshooting and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to lead a small crew while remaining hands-on in the field.
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Required PPE: Yes

Nice To Haves

• Previous lead or crew-lead experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct a small crew of Low Voltage Technicians.
• Pull, route, and install CAT6 cable.
• Terminate CAT6 cable at patch panels, jacks, and other endpoints.
• Test and troubleshoot CAT6 cabling to verify proper performance.
• Label and organize cabling according to project requirements.
• Read and follow drawings, cable plans, and project specifications.
• Assign daily tasks and monitor crew progress.
• Ensure work is completed accurately, safely, and on schedule.
• Communicate with site management and address field issues as needed.
