About The Position

The Lead Logistics/Bottling Operator plays a key role in supporting material receipt, inventory management, shipping, and bottling line operations at Woodford Reserve Distillery. Leveraging technical expertise, operational problem-solving skills, and a continuous improvement mindset, this position drives logistics and production efficiency, supports line changeovers and equipment reliability, ensures inventory integrity and shipment accuracy, develops and trains operators on standard operating procedures, and fosters cross-functional collaboration to meet evolving business demands and support the department's continued growth.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of leadership, team lead, or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, interpret information, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with employees, leadership, and external partners at all levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and other technology-based business systems.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume consumer goods environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including overtime, as needed to support operational requirements.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including frequent walking, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, crouching, climbing stairs, ramps, and ladders, as well as pushing and pulling loads exceeding 100 pounds.
  • Ability to work in confined or restricted spaces, such as rick warehouses, and in non-climate-controlled environments with exposure to varying temperatures and weather conditions.
  • Consistently adheres to all safety policies and PPE requirements, including wearing steel-toed footwear and other required protective equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and evaluate operational performance, identify and resolve process or equipment issues, conduct root cause analyses, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and reliability.
  • Develop, maintain, and deliver training on standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions, serving as a technical resource for troubleshooting, problem-solving, and cross-functional support.
  • Lead onboarding, cross-training, and employee development efforts to build team capability and operational flexibility.
  • Provide operational leadership and support across logistics and bottling functions to ensure business continuity and achievement of production objectives.
  • Support shipping, warehousing, and inventory operations through the accurate management of orders, receipts, shipments, documentation, SAP/WMS transactions, cycle counts, reconciliations, audits, and inventory controls.
  • Coordinate internal and external logistics activities, including customer order fulfillment, carrier and warehouse partner performance, specialty shipments, staging, scheduling, and shipment tracking.
  • Drive inventory accuracy and process compliance while identifying opportunities to improve logistics efficiency and service levels.
  • Provide coverage for Logistics Operator responsibilities as needed.
  • Support bottling line performance by troubleshooting equipment and process issues, conducting root cause analyses, and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Assist with line changeovers, autonomous maintenance activities, special projects, audits, compliance requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance.
  • Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency, accountability, customer focus, and attention to quality while supporting evolving business needs.
  • Provide coverage for Bottling Operator positions as needed.
