About The Position

Our busy restaurant is looking for a detail-oriented individual with exceptional time management abilities who is passionate about providing clients with an exceptional dining experience. As our next line cook, you will be responsible for ensuring that every dish is cooked and presented following appropriate recipes, presentation standards, and with accuracy for the guest order. We need an experienced cook who is comfortable with a variety of cooking techniques such as poaching, braising, roasting, charbroiling, sautéing, grilling, frying, and baking. Our ideal applicant is a team player who can successfully communicate with other kitchen staff to keep our restaurant running efficiently. Requirements

  • Comfortable with a variety of cooking techniques such as poaching, braising, roasting, charbroiling, sautéing, grilling, frying, and baking
  • Team player who can successfully communicate with other kitchen staff
  • Friendly and energetic attitude with a passion for food
  • 1+ year of kitchen experience preferred
  • Strong work ethic and sense of urgency
  • Attention to detail and pride in presentation
  • Ability to stay calm and focused during busy services
  • Flexible availability (nights, weekends, holidays)

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items to recipe and plating standards
  • Set up and break down your station for service
  • Keep your station clean, stocked, and organized at all times
  • Work with the team to keep the service smooth and efficient
  • Communicate clearly with the Sous Chef and team during service
  • Follow food safety, sanitation, and kitchen procedures
  • Help with prep and side work as needed
