About The Position

Odell Brewing is seeking a supportive, hands-on kitchen leader for their Sloan's Lake taproom. This role is responsible for ensuring consistent food quality, cleanliness, and safety. The Lead Line Cook will coach and train kitchen staff, coordinate shift coverage, and assist with inventory and ordering. Working collaboratively with the management team, this position aims to foster a positive environment and continuously improve kitchen operations, team cohesion, and guest experiences. The Sloan's Lake location features a pilot brewhouse and a scratch pizza kitchen, with a rooftop patio overlooking the lake and mountains. The work environment is described as high-volume, community-focused, and prioritizing support and positivity.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be willing and able to work a varied schedule including nights, weekends, and some holidays.
  • Models and promotes Odell values.
  • Demonstrated passion and ability to ensure excellent guest experiences.
  • Demonstrated positive, motivated, hardworking, and collaborative attitude required.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience working in a pizza kitchen preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain management of the kitchen to ensure all tasks are completed effectively and efficiently, including but not limited to coaching and training.
  • Maintain safe, healthy, and sustainable restaurant environment: establish, follow and enforce sanitation standards and procedures, comply with health and legal regulations and observe kitchen safety and sustainability practices.
  • Assist in menu development, training and standardization support.
  • Confirm order items match invoice.
  • Maintain accurate pricing, inventory, and food ordering.
  • Ensure food quality; manage facility kitchen equipment and cleaning projects.
  • Ensure positional duties are covered throughout each shift, dependent on business needs.
  • Encourage consistent teamwork efforts.
  • Support a cohesive team through participation in the hiring processes, consistent coaching and training and effective communication.
  • Educate all co-workers on available menu items.
  • Lead training program for new kitchen co-workers.
  • Facilitate co-worker breaks & support coverage during those times.
  • Model the OBC culture and live the values of OBC, “Always Better”.
  • Support community outreach commitments.
  • Foster relationships with community partners, neighbors and vendors.
  • Support strategic planning & implementation as related to menu releases, events, and innovation.
  • Continuously look for ways to improve processes, enhance business operations, profitability, guest experiences and co-worker engagement.

  • Investigate and resolve guest complaints and feedback concerning food quality.
