About The Position

Boyd Gaming Corporation is seeking a Lead Line Cook to prepare and coordinate food orders using established recipes. The role involves maintaining an orderly and sanitary work area, controlling food waste and inventory, and supporting the training and coaching of Line Cooks.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience as a cook.
• Ability to stand and/or walk for the duration of a shift.
• Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to perform physical activities including reaching, grasping, bending, kneeling, and twisting at the waist.
• Ability to obtain and maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.

Responsibilities

• Receive and prepare food orders, or delegate their preparation, according to memorized standard recipes.
• Coordinate orders for pick-up.
• Maintain cleanliness of work stations and storage areas.
• Control waste by monitoring proper food rotation, storage, and quantity.
• Maintain station inventory and order stock to maintain par levels.
• Apply established safety and sanitation procedures consistently.
• Assist with training and coaching Line Cooks.
