About The Position

Terra Dura Landscapes is seeking a Landscape Architect or Designer to join their landscape design/build team. This small, design/build company located in FAR East Austin specializes in xeriscaping, native Texas plants, and green design, providing services to homeowners and local companies who value sustainability. Requirements

Landscape Architecture degree and/or 2 years experience in design.
Proficiency with SketchUp, V-ray, and Layout.
Familiarity with bidding projects.
Ability to work in the field (I.e. lift over 80 LBS frequently, dig holes, and move wheel barrows).
An open mind and open heart.
Understanding of company mantras: Live, Laugh, Landscape; Beer, Money, Plants, Clients; Care- A Dura; Life is Surfering.

Responsibilities

Take initial installation meetings with clients to understand style, scope, and material selection.
Correspond with client throughout pre-sale process to establish design and budget.
Assemble bid package for client.
Create 2D and 3D Landscape Designs to scale for residential and small commercial work.
Create beautifully drawn designs while conveying important construction notes for our crews.
Stay in communication with clients and project manager on design details.
