The Lead, Kitting/Assembly is responsible for the accurate and efficient building of bulk products into value-added packages for our customers. This role involves demonstrating proficiency in all General Worker duties, directing employees on the kitting/assembly line, updating the SQDIP board, and completing basic problem-solving. The Lead will review work instructions, understand job ticket information, anticipate supply needs, and ensure inventory levels are maintained. They will also instruct, coach, and support personnel, provide training, and assist in duties when the supervisor is out. Key responsibilities include setting up production lines, obtaining first piece approval, controlling machine settings, producing required kits, monitoring line speed and quality, troubleshooting operational issues, completing Load Tags, and preparing products for the next operation. For mail processing, adherence to USPS regulations is required, including applying postage and mailing labels. The role also involves completing necessary paperwork for mail stream efficiency, performing equipment maintenance, tracking job costs/production hours, contributing to safety goals, and meeting productivity and quality standards. Overtime may be required.
