Requirements

  • Proven experience as a lead electrician.
  • State Journeyman Electrician Certification (required in states where required, highly desirable in states without this requirement).
  • Proven track record of delivering safe projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Excellent working knowledge of the Building Codes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with design/build services, industrial, commercial, mixed use/multi-family developments, government, institutional, communications, and utilities projects.

Responsibilities

  • Supervising a crew of 2-15 electricians.
  • Performing assembly, installation, maintenance, and testing of electrical equipment and wiring systems in commercial settings.
  • Preparing work areas for equipment installation.
  • Installing electrical components.
  • Connecting wiring and equipment according to code and job specifications.
  • Operating equipment only if trained and certified (e.g., powder-activated tools, JLG lifts).
  • Setting up and operating tools such as hydraulic benders, power threaders, power pullers, and cable vacuum systems.
  • Reading blueprints and electrical drawings and installing as specified.
  • Verifying dimensions, alignments, and clearances per drawings or plans.
  • Securing and locking up equipment after use.
