About The Position
We are seeking a Lead Java Full Stack Engineer with expertise in Java/Spring and React to join our team. This role involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining full-stack software applications. The ideal candidate will lead medium- to large-scale features from design through production, contribute to service and system architecture decisions, and develop production-ready code. You will also collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and engineering teams to improve application observability, performance, reliability, and resiliency. This position offers the opportunity to provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers and participate in incident response and root-cause analysis.
Requirements
- At least five years of software engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring.
- Experience with object-relational mapping frameworks.
- Experience building full-stack applications using React or a comparable frontend framework.
- Experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Experience developing and consuming RESTful or GraphQL APIs.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployments, and cloud services.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong understanding of client-server communication, REST APIs, and distributed systems.
- Knowledge of cloud-native development, stateless services, horizontal scaling, and observability.
- Strong SQL and database development experience.
- Ability to evaluate downstream impacts across interconnected systems.
- Ability to solve complex technical problems with limited guidance.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
