About The Position

This role involves building and maintaining Java Spring Boot microservices deployed on AWS EKS. The engineer will own backend development end-to-end, from design through production deployment, and contribute to React/TypeScript UI as needed. The position requires partnering with product owners and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions and actively participating in Agile ceremonies.

Requirements

• 3+ years Java development; Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices
• Hands-on Kubernetes (EKS) and Docker experience owning deployments
• AWS experience — EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch at minimum
• Proven ability to engage and communicate with non-technical stakeholders
• Agile/Scrum delivery experience in a team environment
• React and TypeScript — working knowledge sufficient

Nice To Haves

• AWS certification
• CI/CD pipeline experience (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
• Experience in financial services
• Kafka or messaging queue exposure
