Our services encompass connectivity, hosting, virtualization, storage, collaboration, integration, computing, and business transaction solutions, utilizing cloud-first strategies, automation, analytics, “as a Service” models, big data, and software-defined systems. We are looking for a Lead IT Engineer- Storage and Backup Engineer to manage and enhance our advanced storage and backup systems. In this role, you will lead the architecture, engineering, and support of Honeywell’s storage and backup environments as part of the Enterprise Compute Infrastructure team. Your responsibilities will include gathering requirements, helping design, recommending, and implementing on-premises and cloud storage solutions. Expertise is required in technologies like NetApp, Nasuni for cloud-based storage, VAST for block storage, and Rubrik for backup solutions. You’ll also identify opportunities to optimize existing systems to increase reliability and availability and regularly participate in Disaster Recovery exercises. Experience with tools such as ServiceNow and Splunk is necessary, as well as working with automation platforms like CHEF or Tanium.

Responsibilities
- Oversee the architecture, engineering, and support of on-premises and cloud-based storage solutions such as NetApp and Nasuni.
- Implement and manage robust backup strategies utilizing Rubrik CDM and Rubrik Security Cloud.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance the performance of SAN and NAS environments.
- Assist in planning for future storage capacity requirements and optimize current infrastructures along with the on-boarding of sites to be incorporated into the DCN support model and manage projects within support of these activities.
- Provide oversite of Honeywell IT in storage platform optimization, monitoring and lifecycle management.
- Facilitate moving of workloads to/from on-prem cloud to off-prem cloud.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to support application and infrastructure-related issues.
- Lead projects for onboarding sites into support models and manage related activities.
- Coordinate with vendors for support and hardware needs.
- Collaborate across IT teams to align storage with organizational goals.
