About The Position

ARS Treatment Centers specialize in outpatient treatment of those addicted to opiates. Our clinic is one of ten locations in the mid-Atlantic region that provides specialized outpatient services through medication-assisted treatment. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in psychology, counseling or human services
  • Minimum of 3 years clinical experience, 1 of which was in a substance abuse environment.
  • Must be licensed or certified by the applicable state.
  • Proficient in the use of personal computers

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the Clinical Supervisor and Executive Director in ensuring the clinical and administrative services are provided for IOP patients and their families.
  • Serving as a working role model for other counselors.
  • Adhering to the vision and mission of the Company.
  • Complying with all ARS policies and procedures and responding to supervision.
  • Maintaining IOP patients on caseload.
  • Assisting Clinical Supervisor in auditing new IOP admission charts for both Day and evening programs as applicable, ensuring incoming patients have a complete bio psychosocial assessment, a preauthorization, ASAM LOC 2.1 Screening, and updated status, tag and program according to the timeline in the ARS policy manual.
  • Complying with State/Federal or Certification/Licensure training requirements.
  • Overseeing other IOP Counselors and Counselor Interns to assure timely completion of work and adherence to program policies and procedures, which includes reviewing their weekly patient documentation for IOP.
  • Providing new hire orientation for IOP Counselors and IOP Counselor Interns.
  • Supporting and co-facilitating weekly or monthly clinical supervision for the IOP program through documentation of assessment of professional competencies, clinical skills and recommendations through weekly meetings and direct and periodic observation.
  • Coordinating and Completing peer reviews with all IOP counselors.
  • Participating in emergency on-call rotation as needed.
  • Assisting with handling intake and inquiry calls.
  • Attending required managers, clinical and treatment team meetings on a weekly basis to allow consultations of current caseload.
  • Assisting in training and supervision of IOP interns.
  • Assisting in the preparation and presentation of on-site trainings related to IOP.
  • Being proficient with State Licensure Standards, CARF Standards, 42 CFR and HIPAA standards and Company policies.
