Lead Integrations Architect

Cushman & Wakefield
•$153,000 - $180,000•Hybrid

About The Position

The Lead Integrations Architect owns integration architecture across Cushman & Wakefield's data and application estate and serves as the firm's go-to authority. The role establishes standards, designs and builds complex integrations hands-on, and develops the capabilities of delivery teams. It reports to the Global Head of Data Architecture & Engineering and is described as hybrid/remote, with US/EMEA hours. The architect defines integration patterns and guides teams in selecting appropriate approaches; designs end-to-end integrations across custom, SaaS, and PaaS systems; and builds and verifies the most complex, highest-risk integrations for production readiness. The role also creates reference architectures and reusable components, leads architecture for strategic programmes, coaches engineers, guides migrations away from legacy integration estates, and drives resolution of security, reliability, and data integrity risks. The position works with engineering, data, AI, product, business, Data Engineering, Security, Infrastructure, and Architecture stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Senior experience designing and building data integrations at scale across custom, SaaS, and PaaS systems.
  • Hands-on depth across multiple integration patterns, plus .NET and C#.
  • Working knowledge of iPaaS, event-driven architecture, and bi-directional sync.
  • A track record of leading through influence and setting technical standards in a complex enterprise.
  • Strong understanding of integration security, identity, observability, and data governance in regulated, global settings.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience retiring legacy ESB or point-to-point estates.
  • Familiarity with API management, message brokers, and streaming platforms.
  • Experience in a global data organisation across time zones.

Responsibilities

  • Define and govern integration patterns, including API, point-to-point, hub-and-spoke, ESB, iPaaS, event-driven, and bi-directional sync, and guide teams on when to use each.
  • Design end-to-end integrations across custom, SaaS, and PaaS systems, addressing data contracts, error handling, observability, security, and scale.
  • Build the most complex and highest-risk integrations hands-on and demonstrate that they are production-ready.
  • Create reference architectures and reusable components to help teams build faster and more consistently.
  • Lead architecture on strategic programmes, owning design, sequencing, and trade-offs.
  • Coach engineers through design and code reviews.
  • Guide the transition from legacy point-to-point and ESB estates to modern patterns, with cutover and rollback plans.
  • Identify security, reliability, and data integrity risks and drive them to resolution through governance forums.
  • Advise engineering, data, AI, product, and business stakeholders, and collaborate with Data Engineering, Security, Infrastructure, and Architecture.
