About The Position

The Test Engineer performs a variety of test engineering tasks on components and sub systems from various product lines including support of in-line production component testing and experimental/developmental testing on fast-paced liquid rocket engine development programs and Missile Defense programs. This i ndividual must be able to work productively in an environment with multiple, simultaneous high priority assignments, and they must possess a relentless approach to safety.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant engineering experience.
Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related engineering experience.
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related engineering experience.

Bachelors degree in an Engineering discipline
5+ Years testing experience in related field
Able to obtain security clearance (Secret)

Responsibilities

Plans and directs component testing in the fields of pressure test, water flow test, gas flow test, vibration and shock test, spin test, and pump test.
Working with the test operations team and internal customers to develop test operations methodologies and processes
Design test equipment, fixtures and test systems
Create and maintain test operations procedures, specifications and schematics
Direct test technicians, analyze/validate test results, and write test reports.
Plans and directs test facility and test equipment maintenance, repair, and procurement activities to assure test facility/equipment readiness.
Supports process monitoring and improvement activities, including: metrics charting, analysis and improvement project management; defect/mishap investigation and corrective action management.
Designs and oversee fabrication of data acquisition systems and minor electronics.
