About The Position

Requirements

Within one year of earning your high school diploma
Strong arithmetic and Algebra I skills required (candidates must demonstrate math proficiency through a Math Literacy Test)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work with students of varying ages and abilities
A passion for education and helping students succeed in math

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in teaching or tutoring math is preferred
Experience mentoring, training, supervising, or supporting others is preferred
Bilingual proficiency in Mandarin is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Deliver individualized math instruction using the Mathnasium Method™ while focusing on conceptual understanding, procedural fluency, and student growth
Support students from kindergarten through middle school with varying skill levels and learning needs
Guide students through personalized learning plans while tracking progress and celebrating achievements
Take ownership of student progress by monitoring performance, identifying areas of improvement, and supporting students in reaching their learning goals
Model effective teaching strategies and provide coaching, feedback, and support to instructors
Assist with instructor training and maintaining consistent instructional standards
Support student behavior management and maintain a positive learning environment
Communicate student progress and recommendations with parents and guardians
Partner with Center Leadership to support daily operations, scheduling needs, and overall center success
