Bay Area Lead Instructor (RBT)
About The Position
FirstSteps for Kids is seeking experienced Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) or Behavior Technicians (BTs) to join their team as Lead Instructors. In this role, you will work directly with children diagnosed with autism and related learning differences, delivering evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services. You will collaborate closely with in-person Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to implement individualized treatment plans, coach families on supporting their child's learning, and mentor new clinical trainees. The position emphasizes professional growth, family partnership, and making a significant impact on the lives of children and their families.
Requirements
- Experienced RBT (or BT) who enjoys working directly with children and families.
- Desire to continue learning from experienced, in-person BCBAs.
- Enjoyment in teaching and encouraging new clinical team members.
- Thrives in a collaborative, people-first environment.
- Commitment to compassionate, evidence-based care.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality ABA therapy in client homes, schools, and center settings.
- Partner closely with in-person BCBAs to implement individualized treatment plans and continue growing clinical skills.
- Coach parents and caregivers to support their child's learning and carry programs into everyday routines.
- Develop new Clinical Trainees using Behavior Skills Training (BST), fostering clinical skills, confidence, and professionalism.
- Model FirstSteps values through teamwork, professionalism, positivity, and accountability.
- Ensure accurate data collection and consistent implementation of treatment plans.
