Requirements

  • A growth mindset: above all else, we’re looking for people who are dependable, ambitious and want to grow with Reliance.
  • Must meet Company requirements with respect to general qualifications and have completed a minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Must have a certificate of qualification (C of Q) as an Air Conditioning Mechanic (Ontario – 313D).
  • Must have Gas Technician ‘2’ (G2) license.
  • Must have a valid ODP certificate.
  • Must have at least a Class G Driver’s License.
  • Must be willing and able to work rotating shifts as required.
  • Must be physically capable of performing all work required of this position.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, both in written and verbal communications.
  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to understand/learn new technologies (ie. Electronics/ electricity).
  • Must be willing to wear a Company-provided uniform.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and grow as an important part of a team that cares about Reliance and its customers.
  • Professionally install HVAC equipment, accessory items, in accordance with manufacturer specifications and local codes.
  • Ensure the safe operation of all new installations and correctly instruct customers on proper care and maintenance.
  • Responsible for being willing to learn and grow as part of a progressive customer service-oriented team.
  • Responsible for creating a positive relationship with customers; offering for sale other company products, and services and demonstrating your ability to communicate, problem solve, to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Must adhere to all safety rules.
  • Must never sell the customer a repair they do not need.
  • Explain the benefits of newer highly efficient equipment to the customer.
  • Must maintain company vehicle to neat clean and safe standard.
  • Must successfully obtain HVAC leads and enroll CPP to company performance targets.
