About The Position

We are seeking an expert-level Security Installation Technician to join a growing team that specializes in high-end commercial security solutions. This role is ideal for a technician who is passionate about technology, thrives in commercial environments, and enjoys working with top-tier access control and video surveillance systems across the U.S. You’ll be responsible for installing, configuring, and supporting advanced security camera and access control systems for commercial customers. This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical expertise, the ability to read construction documents, and a customer-first mindset.

Requirements

  • Expert-level experience installing commercial security systems
  • Strong background in: CCTV / Video Surveillance, Access Control Systems, Alarm Systems, Structured Cabling (Cat6 & Fiber)
  • Hands-on experience with major commercial platforms (multi‑brand environments)
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues
  • Working knowledge of fire alarm codes and commercial compliance standards
  • Experience working with firewalls and networked security devices
  • Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, and active construction sites

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in commercial and enterprise environments
  • Prior exposure to Honeywell or similar enterprise security systems
  • Experience coordinating with electricians, GCs, IT teams, and end clients
  • Certifications or manufacturer training (a plus, not required)

Responsibilities

  • Install, program, and service commercial security camera and access control systems
  • Work with industry-leading platforms and manufacturers, including: Brivo, Avigilon, Bosch, Genetec, Software House, Milestone, Hikvision, Axis, Hanwha, and others
  • Run, terminate, test, and troubleshoot Cat6 and fiber cabling
  • Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and system schematics
  • Install and understand commercial fire alarm components, including: pull stations, smoke detectors, and related devices
  • Perform system testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance
  • Operate boom lifts and scissor lifts safely on job sites
  • Travel to commercial project sites (approximately up to 50% nationwide travel)
  • Represent the company professionally while working directly with clients and project teams
