  • Formal training or certification in infrastructure engineering concepts.
  • At least 5 years of firewall and network security design, engineering, and implementation experience in a large enterprise environment.
  • Deep knowledge of one or more infrastructure engineering areas, such as hardware, networking terminology, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, or performance assessments.
  • Experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities for infrastructure engineering workflows, with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity.
  • Ability to review and validate AI-assisted recommendations before implementation, escalate when uncertain, and ensure outcomes meet resiliency, security, and auditability expectations.
  • Deep knowledge of one specific infrastructure technology and scripting languages.
  • Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure and multiple cloud technologies, with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds.
  • Knowledge and experience with DMZ and other boundary network architecture.
  • Software development experience in one or more general-purpose programming, scripting, or DevOps languages, including Python, Ansible, Terraform, or JSON.
  • Understanding of microservices, CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins, APIs, TCP/IP, and routing.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with Agile methodologies such as Kanban and Scrum.

Responsibilities

  • Apply technical expertise and problem-solving methods to projects of moderate scope, delivering design, development, and technical troubleshooting solutions.
  • Use enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to accelerate infrastructure analysis and design documentation; validate outputs and handle operational data in accordance with sensitivity and security requirements.
  • Drive a workstream or project involving infrastructure engineering technologies and collaborate with other platforms to architect and implement changes that resolve issues and modernize technology and processes.
  • Consider upstream and downstream data, systems, and technical implications, and advise on mitigation actions.
  • Apply reuse-first, AI-assisted practices in delivery and automation to identify recurring issues and validate remediation options, ensuring changes are traceable, auditable, resilient, and secure.
  • Design, implement, and manage enterprise firewall infrastructure using Check Point, Fortinet, Palo Alto, and Tufin policy orchestration platforms.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts for device provisioning and operational tasks, and establish engineering standards and technical artifacts for certified technology products.
