Working across cloud infrastructure, DevOps, production operations, and engineering leadership, this role partners closely with Engineering, Product, Security, Data, and domain Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure teams can ship quickly without compromising reliability, security, or compliance. This role leads the development and evolution of core systems, spanning cloud environments, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, containerized workloads, observability, secrets management, networking, data infrastructure, and deployment automation within a regulated, high-stakes environment. Success requires strong systems thinking, pragmatic engineering judgment, and the ability to guide a small, elite team through ambiguity. The Lead Infrastructure Engineer is expected to operate in an AI-native engineering environment, using modern coding agents, automation tools, and rapid prototyping workflows to improve delivery speed and infrastructure quality. In parallel, this individual will help create the foundation for AI-enabled product capabilities by ensuring the underlying systems are dependable, observable, secure, cost-aware, and easy to use.
