About The Position

Responsible for the maintenance of installed infrastructure technologies as well as the installation and configuration of these technologies within a specific area. This may include infrastructure as code, programming, scripting languages, multi-cloud environments, system engineering and software development. Develops design and functional specifications, produces deliverables related to specific projects and assists in post implementation support and system enhancements which may include platforms and systems such as Azure, AWS, CSP, API, microservices. Responsible for creating on-prem and public cloud systems for communication, sharing, storage and backup of data, including big-data analysis. This role may provision, manage, monitor, and decommission cloud services, including automating provisioning and management of infrastructure in a distributed environment through scripting. May be involved with the configuration and maintenance of physical and logical network components.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Six to eight years of relevant experience
  • Proven experience leading and advancing infrastructure automation strategy, driving scalable and repeatable platform management across on‑prem and cloud environments, and identifying high-value opportunities to reduce operational toil and improve system reliability.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing and optimizing Linux-based production infrastructure, providing technical leadership and engineering oversight for system health, patching, performance, and stability, while ensuring platform dependencies such as databases and data integrations are well understood and consistently supported across the team.
  • Strong scripting and development background (Python, Go, and/or Shell), with the ability to establish coding standards, review and elevate team deliverables, and guide development of reusable automation, integrations, and orchestration logic.
  • Deep understanding of workflow orchestration and enterprise job scheduling, with experience designing, reviewing, and evolving complex workflows, and providing technical leadership in modernizing orchestration platforms (e.g., leading migration from legacy schedulers to modern orchestrators).
  • Proven technical leadership in a 24×7 production environment, including incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement, with the ability to guide teams through major incidents and drive systemic resolution across platforms.
  • Working knowledge of modern DevOps and cloud practices (containers, CI/CD, observability, AWS/Azure), with the ability to influence architectural direction, promote Infrastructure-as-Code practices, and lead the transition toward cloud-native platform engineering models.
  • Demonstrated commitment to security and vulnerability management, including proactively identifying risks, guiding remediation efforts, and ensuring security considerations are embedded into platform design, automation practices, and operational processes.
