As a Lead Infrastructure Engineer at JPMorganChase within the Network Services team you apply deep knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. Requirements

  • Formal training or certification on Infrastructure engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • Familiarity with risk management frameworks, industry standards, and financial industry regulatory requirements
  • Expertise in technology risk management, information security, or related field with a focus on risk identification, assessment, and mitigation
  • Deep knowledge of one or more areas of infrastructure engineering such as hardware, networking terminology, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, or performance assessments
  • Deep knowledge of one specific infrastructure technology and scripting languages (e.g., Scripting, Python, etc.)
  • Drives to continue to develop technical and cross-functional knowledge outside of the product
  • Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure and multiple cloud technologies with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds

Responsibilities

  • Applies technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope
  • Drives a workstream or project consisting of one or more infrastructure engineering technologies
  • Works with other platforms to architect and implement changes required to resolve issues and modernize the organization and its technology processes
  • Executes creative solutions for the design, development, and technical troubleshooting for problems of moderate complexity
  • Strongly considers upstream/downstream data and systems or technical implications and advises on mitigation actions
  • Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
  • Provide technical leadership for a team of infrastructure service specialists and administrators, setting the tone for technology planning, network asset portfolio, lifecycle management, and product management
  • Proactively manage and understand emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and control techniques to effectively communicate, plan, and track remediation
  • Lead the Infrastructure Lifecycle Management effort to efficiently plan, budget, and implement hardware and software refresh and upgrades based on Organizational Strategy, Architecture Roadmap, and End of Life
  • Conduct infrastructure audits and risk assessment as required, manage remediation planning and implementation, and integrate Risk Management into processes to ensure proactive identification, consistent awareness, efficiency, compliance, and better decision making
  • Articulate responses for requests for information (Audit, Regulator, Assessment) which is crisp and concise
