Responsible for spearheading the design, optimization, and strategic planning of enterprise-level distribution center operations. This role is pivotal in driving operational excellence, scalability, and safety through data-driven engineering solutions and leads cross-functional initiatives, applying advanced analytics, layout optimization, and process improvement methodologies to align infrastructure and supply chain capabilities with long-term business objectives.
Requirements
- BS/BA in a related discipline OR MS/MA and generally 5+ years of experience in a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in a related field.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Supply Chain or related field.
- Proficiency in layout and design tools: AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar CAD software.
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle)
- Advanced Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
- Programming or scripting knowledge (e.g., Python, SQL) for data analysis and automation is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Leads the design and optimization of distribution center layouts to improve space utilization, safety and scalability.
- Collaborates cross-functionally with Real Estate, IT, Supply Chain and Construction and Material Handling vendors to align infrastructure with strategic goals.
- Develops and evaluates data driven solutions for slotting, capacity planning, and material flow using simulation and optimization tools.
- Builds and presents business cases with cost-benefit analysis, risk assessments, and performance metrics to support decision making.
- Manages project lifecycles from the requirements gathering through implementation, ensuring timely and effective execution.
- Conducts root cause analysis to identify operational inefficiencies and drives corrective actions that promote continuous improvement.
- Researches and applies industry best practices and emerging technologies to enhance distribution center performance.
- Utilizes advanced analytics and visualization tools to communicate insights and support strategic planning.
- Partners with associates across departments to foster a culture of teamwork, transparency, and shared accountability.
