The Lead Imaging Electronics Specialist is the highest experienced, specialized technician who performs the responsibility of the Imaging and Senior Imaging Technician and has a wide depth and breadth with a majority of the highly sophisticated diagnostic imaging and radiation therapy equipment. This role demonstrates mastery and comprehensive knowledge of practices and procedures necessary for assessment, installation, preventive maintenance, service, trouble shooting, calibration, ensuring the safety of equipment, and accurate documentation for multiple modalities of highly sophisticated diagnostic imaging and radiation therapy equipment. This includes Positron Emission Tomography (PET), and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) imaging systems, linear accelerators, simulators, stereotactic systems, treatment planning systems, and other systems specific to radiation therapy. This position will be responsible for data mining and reporting for Biomedical Services and other leadership and will lead designated internal projects that promote quality, safety, and cost-effective service. The Lead Imaging Electronics Specialist serves as a trainer and mentor to other imaging staff members.
