About The Position

As a Lead Image Technician, you will lead an Image Crew and help maintain the appearance, functionality, and overall condition of approximately 40 RaceTrac convenience stores within your designated region. You’ll oversee and complete a variety of routine maintenance, repair, painting, and facility-image tasks, while reporting larger equipment repair needs through Service Channel. The role is based out of this home store: 5150 Dr. MLK Blvd. Fort Myers, FL 33905

Requirements

  • Comfort using common hand and power tools, as well as basic office equipment, is required.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to lead an Image Crew, provide clear direction, and complete work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong customer service, teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move between 75 and 100 pounds.
  • Ability to occasionally push or pull up to 100 pounds of force and repeatedly bend, stand, and reach throughout the workday.

Nice To Haves

  • Four, or more, years of relevant work experience is preferred.
  • General maintenance knowledge and familiarity with repair procedures is preferred.
  • Experience supporting maintenance needs in a retail environment is preferred.
  • Maintenance or repair certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Image Crew and provide day-to-day directions to the Image Technician.
  • Serve as the primary driver of the crew vehicle, with the Image Technician serving as the secondary driver.
  • Inspect buildings and other structures to identify system malfunctions and repair needs.
  • Perform minor electrical maintenance, including replacing or repairing switches, outlets, bulbs, tubes, ballasts, sockets, fuses, minor appliances, and cords using appropriate hand, power, and specialty tools.
  • Perform minor plumbing maintenance, including repairing leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging drains, and replacing drain hoses on washers and similar equipment.
  • Complete minor painting, carpentry, and masonry work, including surface preparation, painting and staining, hanging doors, replacing ceiling tiles, and fitting locks and handles.
  • Prepare and paint walls, refrigerators, evaporative coolers, floors, roofs, doors, restroom facilities, bollards, light poles, parking lot striping, and other structures or equipment using appropriate tools and materials.
  • Order parts, maintain supply inventory, and complete required documentation.
  • Report equipment repair needs through Service Channel.
  • Follow all RaceTrac safety policies and guidelines.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
  • Act as the Team Lead for the Landscape Technician
  • Primary point of contact with Regional Service Manager regarding daily/weekly performance, execution, and opportunities for specific crew
  • Aids the Landscape Technician on repairs to equipment
  • Mowing, using up to 50” or larger walk behind mower with Sulky, all turf areas
  • String trimming all turf areas not accessible to a walk behind mower
  • Edge all curb, sidewalk, and driveway areas
  • Blowing off all clippings and landscape debris from concrete areas
  • Picking up trash throughout the property
  • Trim trees, shrubs, plants, ivy, and ornamental grasses
  • Apply weed killer, pre and post emergent, and fertilizer
  • Start-up, shutdown and perform repairs on irrigation systems
  • Perform maintenance on equipment to include changing mower blades, edger blades, string on trimmer, changing oil, oil filter, air filter and belts
  • Responsible for ordering supplies
  • Responsible for maintaining adequate stock levels of normal wear parts and chemicals
  • Responsible for the protection of the facility and customer as related to the landscape maintenance work
