About The Position

Summers Plumbing Heating & Cooling in Warsaw, IN is seeking a full-time Lead HVAC Technician – Residential Service Leader. This role involves servicing and troubleshooting HVAC systems in clients' homes and acting as the technical leader for the HVAC department. It is a working leadership position where you will continue to perform service calls while also mentoring other technicians and leading weekly training sessions. The company is locally owned and operated, with the owner actively involved in daily operations and committed to developing technicians into leaders. This is a community-focused team environment, not a corporate-run operation.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of residential HVAC service experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic ability across a variety of residential systems.
  • Passion for mentoring and developing other technicians.
  • Comfortable leading weekly team trainings.
  • Able to participate in an on-call rotation.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Must reside within 30 minutes of our primary office.
  • Good communication skills and ability to explain technical information in layman's terms.
  • Confidence leading ride-alongs and training discussions.
  • Clean, organized, and efficient.
  • Trustworthy and respectful of others and their personal property.
  • Professional presentation.

Responsibilities

  • Service and troubleshoot HVAC systems in clients' homes.
  • Act as the technical leader of the HVAC department.
  • Mentor other technicians.
  • Lead weekly training sessions.

  • Ensure customer satisfaction.
