About The Position

Plumbing Systems Inc. (PSI) is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join their team. This role involves providing exceptional residential and commercial HVAC service throughout the Vail Valley and Summit County area. The technician will diagnose and repair HVAC systems, educate homeowners on solutions, and deliver high-quality service. PSI is looking for someone who takes pride in their craftsmanship, enjoys problem-solving, and wants to be part of a team that values professionalism and growth. A sign-on and relocation bonus are offered for this role, which is based in Gypsum, CO.

Requirements

  • Active HVAC license and strong knowledge of local HVAC codes and standards.
  • Proven experience installing, replacing, diagnosing, and servicing HVAC systems.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills with the ability to read and interpret diagrams and blueprints.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-through.
  • Positive attitude with a high-integrity, team-focused mindset.
  • Ability and desire to continue developing technical skills and industry certifications.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with residential and commercial HVAC systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, service, and repair residential and commercial HVAC systems.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and provide accurate, long-term solutions.
  • Build trust with customers by clearly explaining findings and recommending the best options for their needs.
  • Educate homeowners on repairs, maintenance plans, system improvements, and replacement solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve system performance and customer comfort.
  • Maintain strong communication with customers, dispatch, and internal teams to ensure a seamless service experience.
  • Maintain a clean, organized service vehicle and professional job sites.
  • Complete invoices, service documentation, option sheets, and timecards accurately.
  • Participate in training, team meetings, trade events, and professional development opportunities.
  • Mentor and support apprentices by sharing technical knowledge and best practices.
