About The Position
The job of the Lead HVAC installer involves installing residential and light commercial systems, including light metal fabrication and ductwork installation. The lead installer will report to the HVAC Division Manager and lead a small crew in installing condensers, air handlers, furnaces, mini-splits, and AIQ products. The ideal candidate will possess leadership ability on the job, have a strong working knowledge of HVAC systems, and be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical school training or apprenticeship in HVAC installation and repair
- Possess a minimum of 5 years’ experience installing or equivalent expertise
- Experience in HVAC installation and repair
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of HVAC systems and components
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces
Nice To Haves
- Boiler install experience
- Knowledge of Trane and Mitsu equipment
Responsibilities
- Install HVAC equipment as “lead installer” in residential and light commercial settings
- Build and install ductwork, including light sheet metal fabrication
- Act as primary liaison between HVAC division manager and install techs/helpers
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction
- Attend period, paid training, and stay up to date with industry trends and developments
