About The Position

The Lead HVAC Design Engineer leads a team of Mechanical Engineers and supports the sales team while managing project design and coordination. The role develops engineering documents, addresses complex design challenges, and ensures quality control throughout the design process. It also involves coordinating engineering work, stakeholders, project tasks, budgets, and workflows; creating tailored HVAC and plumbing solutions; and designing systems that meet client and industry standards.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of engineering experience.
• Proven leadership experience or the ability to take on leadership responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical system design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferred).
• Professional Engineering (PE) license for Washington and/or Oregon is strongly desired.

Responsibilities

• Oversee engineering efforts, collaborate with stakeholders, manage project tasks and budgets, and ensure efficient workflows.
• Work with the sales team to develop tailored HVAC and plumbing solutions, including accurate engineering budgets.
• Design mechanical and plumbing systems using Revit and AutoCAD, ensuring compliance with client and industry standards.
• Select HVAC and plumbing equipment, ductwork, and piping, and review submittals for accuracy.
• Perform HVAC load calculations and other essential computations to support system designs.
• Stay current with codes, industry standards, and emerging technologies to drive compliance and innovation.
• Coordinate with field personnel and external professionals to support project success.
