About The Position

Surge Rehabilitation and Nursing is seeking a dedicated Full-time Lead Housekeeper to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced housekeeping professional who takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment while providing leadership and support to the housekeeping team.

Requirements

Previous housekeeping experience required
Ability to work independently while supporting and directing team members.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be able to lift 40–50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Healthcare or long-term care experience preferred.
Prior leadership, supervisory, or lead experience is preferred.
Strong organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

Lead by example in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of resident rooms, common areas, restrooms, recreational spaces, and other areas throughout the facility.
Assist in coordinating and overseeing the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping Department in accordance with State, Federal, facility, and company standards.
Support the Director of Housekeeping Services by ensuring departmental procedures and cleaning protocols are followed consistently.
Help train, mentor, and guide housekeeping staff to promote quality performance and efficiency.
Monitor daily cleaning assignments and ensure work schedules are completed accurately and on time.
Clean and polish furnishings, fixtures, ledges, windowsills, room heating/cooling units, and other facility surfaces as assigned.
Collect, remove, and properly dispose of trash while relining receptacles with clean liners.
Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns to the appropriate department.
Promote a safe, sanitary, and organized environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
Assist with special cleaning projects and provide floor coverage as needed.
