About The Position

The Team Lead Housekeeper is responsible for the management of contractors and internal employees in order to maintain the cleanliness of many different areas on the mountain and at the bases of the resort. The essential job function is to manage and assist in the cleaning and inspection of facilities to ensure the cleanliness and safety of property, guests, and personnel. This position manages multiple third-party contracted staff.

Requirements

  • Valid Drivers License
  • Ability to be trained on and operate snow blowers
  • 1-3 years of previous housekeeping experience preferred
  • Must be able to communicate in English
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including split shifts, nights, holidays, and weekends
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods, up to 4 hours while consistently bending and lifting
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivating, and strong communicator, both written & verbal

Responsibilities

  • Clean restrooms, offices, and common areas at the property ensuring adherence to Vail Resorts quality, health, and safety standards.
  • Replenish amenities in areas including, but not limited to restrooms, offices, and common areas
  • Maintain inventory and organization of housekeeping supplies in work areas and storage closets
  • Report any lost and found items, damage, safety concerns, maintenance needs, accidents, or injuries to management
  • Train, monitor, and delegate tasks to new employees ensuring adherence to company housekeeping policy and standards
  • Provide excellent customer service to all guests, teammates, and management; responding promptly to any requests
  • Handle resort trash, compost and recycling
  • Minor restroom plumbing repair, vacuum repair
  • Snow removal with hand tools and snow blowers
  • Provides day-to-day work direction for team members
  • Enforce policies, procedures and safety guidelines
  • Hold daily team meetings and weekly safety meetings alongside manager
  • Other duties as assigned.
