About The Position
This position is responsible for cleaning and servicing building areas. The role involves performing environmental services duties to maintain the hospital in a neat, orderly, and sanitary condition. The Lead Housekeeper also serves as a backup for the Environmental Services Manager or Supervisor, rounds on assigned areas, instructs and trains employees, and prepares daily assignments.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Intermittent hand manipulation required
- Intermittent lifting and carrying of 50 pounds
Responsibilities
- Cleans public and/or patient care areas.
- Cleans equipment and reports repairs.
- Collects and distributes soiled or clean linen.
- Serves as back up for Environmental Services Manager or Supervisor.
- Rounds on assigned areas.
- Instructs and trains employees.
- Prepares daily assignments.
- Performs environmental services duties to maintain the hospital in a neat, orderly and sanitary condition.
